Views of the iconic 14,410-foot Mount Rainier from the back of a horse result in a trip you'll never forget. Trails along the lower flanks of the mountain, located in Washington state, meander through old-growth forests, along pristine mountain lakes and past meadows of colorful wildflowers. One trail gives horseback riders an opportunity to explore Mount Rainier National Park, while dozens of trails in the White Pass area of Gifford Pinchot National Forest give you more options on the southeastern side of the mountain.
